Fun with Cousins In Virginia

Before Lyle left for his deployment he made sure that his family would have access to his kids while he was away. Every month we were able to visit with the kids, spend some time with them, take them to church, and just get to love on them for a few days. This seemed to put him a bit more at ease while he was away and gave us some really good visits with these kids that we love so much.

In February it was our turn to visit. It was busy and chaotic and wild-- but we loved it :)

First dinner out. These weekends definitely gave me a new respect for people with big families.

Twister!

Trampolines are definitely a favorite of all of the kids.

Craft time at Home Depot.

We pretty much took up an entire row at the theater. And do not even ask how much it costs to take 6 kids and two adults to a movie with popcorn and drinks and candy and...

Carson and Tommy.

Carver lost a tooth! While playing Twister...

This boy...such a sweet, kind heart.

Annie has a special fondness for her Uncle Daniel.

Making Valentine's cards for Lyle!

This girl. Busting with personality.

He so loves his "big cousins."

My family has cinnamon rolls every Sunday before church. We carried on that tradition with Lyle's kids.

Church!

Lyle has this hideous boar head in his house. I hate it. And I really hate it when it randomly appears in unexpectedly places. Scared the junk out of me when I found it while walking down to the (kind of ) creepy basement.

Yarn craft!

Annie and her finished project.

Tommy!

All the kids with their crafts.

Carver's was my favorite. If I had a favorite. Which I don't . Because that would be wrong.

Carver's craft!

  1. The boar head was moved to the basement (where it belongs) because when it was upstairs, my kids kept asking to "pet the doggie." Nope.
