March Phone Dump (Part 2)

The second half of March looked very different for us in some ways (and not so different in others). As of March 13th, the boys were out of school and we started practicing "social distancing" due to the COVID-19 outbreak. I'll post more of my thoughts about that in a later post. But here is what the first couple of weeks home looked like for us.

A worldwide pandemic didn't keep us from celebrating St. Patrick's Day.

Annual Gold Coin Hunt!

Crafting.

Daniel shaved Carson's head-- he had been begging and I figured, why not? We have nowhere to go for awhile.

On pretty days we take walks with Bentley.

We started school at home-- virtual school has gone fairly well so far.

I snuck out with Julia to take Hercules to the vet (we never left the car)-- stopped at Starbucks on the way.

Back to Buck Flats!

Watching Church online. This is basically Carver's dream come true.

Family Movie Night-- we watched Onward.

A little creativity break. Carson painted with watercolors.

And Carver drew a picture of a pirate ship.

Walking and biking at the (totally empty) conference center.

Take out from Phils BBQ. Getting take out occasionally is such a treat these days.

My favorite BBQ nachos.

March Phone Dump (Part 1)

Kid Day at church!

Carver was sick, so it was just the two of us for lunch after church-- he chose his very favorite place, Subway!

Carver's National Historic Places project-- Mt. Mitchell!

I had a keto pizza from Blaze. It was underwhelming.

These two are my whole world.

Hiking to Buck Flats-- this is a pretty regular thing these days.

Hercules!

This was on a hike I went on with Bentley and Winston alone. The quiet hike was so nice.

Carson made an instrument for a school project!

These two 😂

Love this one. Bentley is obsessed with Felix. Felix loves Bentley but is often overwhelmed by him. His favorite thing to do is sleep curled up with Bentley...Bentley prefers tackling him usually.

Current favorite snack (or breakfast).
