In early September Daniel and I took the boys to the State Fair. And for some reason that I can't quite explain that night stands out as one of my favorite nights (ever) for our family of four. We had only been back in Asheville for a couple of weeks and coming off of the summer and the craziness of moving back here and leaving so much behind in Georgia and just being so unsure about what the next weeks and months would hold--- there was something about that night that was just meaningful.
It was a hot and humid and a storm was threatening to cut our evening short.
We saw farm animals and rode a lot of scary and unstable rides.
We ate "fair" food. #myfavoritepart
We spent about $100 on just the one night. #yikes
Carver's exuberance is still so clear in my mind. He absolutely loved it.
| A really terrible storm rolled in and we had to flee to the car. Carver cried HUGE tears. |

Looks like so much fun! A new annual event, maybe!?
