Last week Daniel had to be out of town so my mom headed up to help out with Carver and help keep me sane. We had a really fun visit, with a lot of time for her to just get to spend time with Carver. It was such a relief to have someone to help entertain the crazy child, and a reason to get out of the house and do a few things. Carver seemed to love having her around-- they played hide and seek, and he wanted her to feed him every single meal. The week flew by and we were sad to see her go.
A little incentive to behave while grocery shopping...
We went to the park, walked Carver and the dogs on the trail and then let him play for a bit...
Carver had a SUPER fun time playing at the mall "playground."
P.F. Chang's! (Thanks to Grandmama for teaching him to push down the "buttons" on top of his cup. He is now obsessed.)
The Dillard House
Grandmama, Carver needs a baby goat!
I usually do not dress Carver in his "play clothes" when we are going out to lunch. But, we made plans spontaneously and I was too lazy to change him. Thank God. He was a COMPLETE mess when we left. Muddy and soaking wet, but thrilled with himself.
I barely caught him before he escaped through the fence while chasing the baby goats.
Lunch! (For several days)
The next time Grandmama visits us in GA may be just before new baby arrives-- Crazy! Maybe we'll get her here at least one more time before then.
It was a great week! I had so much fun. Hopefully, you can come down here soon. We need to make one more trip to the zoo and a few other fun places.
ReplyDeleteI was hoping to see a picture of your mom and Carver, but true to form...no luck :) He is looking so old K!
