Florida Vacation (Part IV)

The highlight of our time in Florida was probably our trip to Legoland. This marked our third time at Legoland-- and this was by far the best. We arrived early and the park really didn't get crowded until we had been there about two hours-- so we were able to get so many things accomplished without having to wait in long lines. The boys were SO excited to be there-- they loved every single ride, and every single lego display.  They have been talking about Legoland for the last two months-- almost daily. I hope to go back every summer :)

This was enormously exciting to them-- meeting Emmett and Wild Style :)

It was EXCEEDINGLY hot that day. And Carson's expression here makes me laugh.

For the first time, we splurged (and by we, I mean mom and dad) and stayed at the Legoland hotel. It is absurdly and painfully expensive-- and worth every single penny. The rooms are completely themed out (ours was a castle/knight theme), every inch of the hotel is decorated and coordinated. The rooms are also very comfortable and spacious. The boys took a fun "master builder" class when we arrived (included in the cost of the room) and they LOVED it. The dinner buffet was incredible-- the quality of food was very high, especially for a buffet. The pool was AWESOME and a perfect depth for the boys to get to practice swimming. (Sidenote: the pool was also hot. Like, very hot. Unpleasantly hot. Miserably hot. The boys still loved it. We went twice, once at night and once in the morning, and the morning swim was MUCH more bearable). A breakfast buffet was also included in the cost of the room. That night there was a pajama party that they boys loved too :) The next time we are in Florida, I hope we can stay for a couple of nights-- it was just that great. It is, without question, one of the biggest highlights of the boys' lives so far.

They were so attentive in the Master Builder class.

I only had to help a bit.

Characters were almost constantly roaming the hotel-- this was thrilling for the boys.

The boys' room!

King size bed. I forgot to take a picture, but even the bathroom was exceptionally nice.

A scavenger hunt was waiting for them in the room. The reward was in this safe-- full of snacks and lego toys.
 This was a big hit.

The pool!

Pajama Party!

Lobby play area.

This was an amazing trip and I loved every minute of it. My parents are so good at planning these fun things for the boys and doing everything they can to make sure it is great (for them and me). We had the best time ever. I can't wait to do it again.
