I love that Strong Rock is a special place for my entire family. Jules had a great summer as a counselor and Lyle's kids (the oldest three) love camp in an obsessive, all-consuming way.
In early July mom and I did a bit of shopping and prepping for the kids to go to camp. (The thought of Lyle having to shop for and pack three kids for camp seemed INSANE). So we helped :) Lyle stopped by my house on the way to Strong Rock and I helped get the trunks organized and ready to go.
The kids had a great time at camp, and it was a sweet time for all of us to be there to pick them up and go to the closing program. And Carver and Carson were thrilled to be there.
After the closing program we did a few things in the area before we headed back home. First stop was Babyland General. Because Carver had been BEGGING to go :)
Then we headed for a late lunch at the Dillard House!
Lyle had to leave early the next morning. So it was a very late night of sorting through the kids' trunks. This was a BIG task. But Lyle and kids were sent home with all clean laundry and organized trunks. Basically, I am awesome.
I hope we get to visit camp (and our friends there) sometime this year, but if not, we'll be back next year--for sure :)
