Hosting birthday parties at my house is probably the most stressful thing I do. I both love it and hate it. I love the details and the planning and the executing of the plans. But the cleaning and the chaos totally push me over the edge.
This year Carver chose to do a Lego party and it was a fun one to plan. Unfortunately, I get so busy with trying to keep the party running smoothly that I am never very good about taking pictures. But we had fun! The kids decorated wooden picture frames by gluing Lego bricks onto them. Then we played Lego Bingo with prizes; had a "guess how many legos are in the jar" game, a pin the head on the Lego man game, and a photo booth. And we had dinner and cupcakes and party favors. It was crowded and loud and crazy but overall, a success :)
