Carver's First Kindergarten Field Trip

Carver had his first field trip and all six kindergarten classes went to an apple orchard-- that's A LOT of 5 year olds....

Carson and I met up with the group at the orchard and Carver was extremely excited when he saw us. Not because we were there, no, he was excited about his ride on the big school bus...

First up was lunch...and it was 10:30 in the morning. Carson seemed rather self-satisfied while sitting beside Carver, eating his own packed lunch.

It is always funny to watch Carver in situations like this, to see who he interacts with and how. I wish I had counted how many times he hugged one of his teachers...or a random worker at the orchard. He's an affectionate kid. Which stresses his daddy out a bit, but I'm thinking (hoping) it's probably no big deal for at least another year or two. If he's 8 or 10 and still randomly hugging people we might have to have a chat...

The kids went on a tractor ride and got to pick apples. Then they learned about cider making and walked through a corn maze. It was a fun morning!

I don't know this kid. But apparently he is Carson's "best friend." And Carson followed him around all morning.

It is days like this when I am so incredibly grateful that I get to work from home and I don't have to miss out on these events. Big and small. I want to be a part of every moment.
