My aunt Cathy and Uncle Ray retired to Whidbey Island, a couple hours away from Seattle a few years ago. We headed there to see them for a couple of days.
And we got to take a ferry! I LOVE ferries. They are so nostalgic to me from the many ferry rides we went on when visiting when I was a kid. Taking the boys on a ferry, and having my parents with us for their first ferry ride, was a highlight of the trip for me.
Whidbey is a beautiful island the drive in to their house was a fun one.
The first day we explored a bit around downtown Coupeville and had lunch.
Then we headed to this incredible bridge called Deception Pass.
And back to their house for dinner and an evening walk. There were so many deer around their neighborhood.
