Family Vacation (2023)- Seattle, WA (Part 8)

When we got back to Seattle from Canada we only had one more day of vacation. We started the day at a great breakfast restaurant with enormous biscuits 😀

After breakfast we went to Northwest Trek, a wildlife center with animals natural to the area. We went there as kids and I really wanted to take the boys.

After leaving Northwest Trek we had lunch at Taco Time, just to try out a local fast food place that we don't have on the other side of the country. It was good!

Then we headed back to the house to start packing up to leave the next day. Mom and dad, and Daniel, me and the boys met Drew, his wife, and Sara for dinner at a dumplings restaurant that was one of my favorite meals of the trip.

The next morning we headed to the airport to go home. This was one of the longest trips we have taken and one of the best for sure. I hope to go back again one day. Seattle and the surrounding area is one of my favorite places to visit. I am so grateful my parents and my family were able to do this together.

Airport lunch.

A view of Mount Rainier from the car heading to the airport.

Family Vacation (2023)- Victoria, Canada (Part 7)

We made big plans for our last morning in Victoria. We checked out of our hotel,  found a breakfast place, then headed on a whale watching excursion!

The boat ride was fun and we saw some orcas, so we were very excited about that! Carson was a bit sick for some of the boat ride, but we all had a good time and I'm so glad we took the time to do this while in Canada.

We saw harbor seals also.

After the boat ride we grabbed a quick lunch and made our way to the ferry to head back to Seattle.

Family Vacation (2023)- Victoria, Canada (Part 6)

On our second day in Victoria we had a full day planned so we headed out early to breakfast and we found the cutest biscuit shop.

Carson found a candy shop that had his favorite freeze-dried skittles.

After breakfast we had reservations on a hop on/hop off tour bus. It was a great way to see the city, but the bus was not air conditioned and we were very hot.

Our first stop was Craigdarroch Castle! It was smaller, but reminiscent of going through the Biltmore estate.

They were happy to find these fans in the castle 😂

Carson and I started picking up random candies we found that we haven't seen at home. This was a fun activity!

A s'mores cone for me, of course.

That evening we walked around and found a place for dinner. Then went to look at some of the houses on the water and rode a water taxi back to the port area.

Then we headed back to the hotel for our last night in Victoria.
