One of these days I will get caught up on blog posts. My poor little blog has been a little neglected lately. So, yes, I know it is now March but....here is a little bit about our SUPER fun Christmas celebrations in Baltimore (or, technically, in Towson).
After Carver's birthday party we changed the boys into their Christmas pjs to celebrate Christmas with my family before Daniel headed back to GA the next morning.
The rest of the week was spent doing some of our favorite Maryland things-- at least those that were possible with three babies in tow.
We ate lunch at Shuckers and then walked in the freezing wind out onto the pier area. |
Carver didn't want to leave... |
We played with the boys-- Alex and Ivan. Daniel won't let me get a cat. Which is irritating. I'm trying to bug him about it enough so he will let me get one just so I stop mentioning it. We'll see how that goes. |
We hung out at the house. Carver loved Courtney's new house. It was bizarre. He played and wandered and chased cats and cuddled on the couch. |
We tried and tried to get pictures of these cuties. |
We went to the mall and met the Chick-fil-A cow. Carver was thrilled. |
We made a Build-A-Bear! |
Which led to a meltdown. This was the beginning but it seriously escalated. I've got to get this boy under control. Being cute will only get you so far in life. Being annoying and throwing tantrums is not so cute when you're 3. |
Cargy tried out Carver's new dump truck. The cats would not participate. Not for lack of trying. |
Granddaddy took a nap with Cargy. |
The cats never got old. He would have stuffed him in his suitcase and brought them home if possible. |
Enjoyed a little sunshine in their cute backyard. |
Love this girl. Love love love. |
He loves her too. |
He was chasing Kingston (Grandmama and Granddaddy's dog). |
His favorites. |
Love that our GA museum memberships work in a lot of places that we visit. Though, I prefer our local museum to this one. Definitely. |
Lunch at our favorite Irish Pub. |
Baby time. |
New Year's Eve. Court planned a "White Party" and it was really fun. We all wore white and ate all white foods. I love a themed party. |
I can't really explain this. |
The spread. Delicious. |
Courtney's new place. I LOVE it. So cute. Love the row house. Love that it is in a fun location. Love the guest area in the basement where we could spread out and not feel like we were taking over their home too much. I love the backyard-- can't wait to take Lea for a visit. |
One of the things I have really missed these last 3 years since Carver's arrival is my lengthy and fairly frequent visits to MD. I miss packing Delia up for the road trips and listening to audio books on the long drive. Staying for 2 weeks or so. Eating out, shopping, playing with Jules, etc. I liked that time in my life.
But, I am so thankful for family Christmases (though Lyle's family was missed). I am glad that I can still manage some road trips even with my crazy boys. I love Baltimore. But, I still wish Court and her family would decide to move to Georgia. I'd love to live closer, raise these new babies, and get to see Jules more often.
It was a perfect week. As always, hoping to get back up there shortly. Maybe this summer.
Yay! Finally a Christmas blog update. I love reading about it and remembering all the fun activities. It was a great Christmas and New Year's. I had so much fun. Can't wait to go back sometime. Love all the cute pictures. :)
ReplyDeleteDitto....I agree that that Court needs to move south!
