This Sweet Boy

He's worked his way completely into my life. And I wouldn't change a thing. Except his lack of house-training. I would change that.

His snuggles are the best.

Winston's tail is one of his favorite spots.

Vet appointments are insane.

He watches my every move.

He has zero concept of personal space.

He goes with me to pick up the boys from school every day.

He may love me....but he LOVES Felix.

Carver loves animals. Both of my boys do. But Carver does seem to have a special relationship with each of our animals.

Florida Trip 2018 (Part 4)

On our last day in Florida we made a last minute decision and headed to the Crayola Experience. Which meant we had to skip a couple of other things on our wish list for our Florida trip-- there is just never enough time. This was probably our best visit to the Crayola Experience-- it wasn't crowded at all so we were able to do everything pretty quickly without waiting in any lines. The boys love it. The only annoying thing about this particular outing is that adults pay full price, just like kids. And, really-- why?? Adults are only there to watch their kids do the activities. I do not understand this practice. I feel like their should be some sort of "chaperone or companion price" in instances like this. #endrant

When we got home from Orlando, both boys had very strong opinions about what they wanted for their last dinner in Florida. So we split up-- my parents took Carson to get crab legs at Catfish Country, and Carver and I had a sushi date in Lakeland :)

The next morning we let the boys feed the goats and say goodbye to Bella. Bentley acted like a jerk and barked at everyone. Then we headed out to breakfast and did a little outlet shopping with my parents before we hit the road to drive back to "our" hotel in South Carolina.

I love, love, love staying in a hotel with the boys. We just have fun and it is kind of our thing. Bentley has totally found his place in our family and handled this road trip like a complete champ.

I'm already looking forward to next summer :)

Florida Trip 2018 (Part 3)

When we go to Florida we tend to repeat the same outings we do every time we visit. The boys have their favorites and they want to go back and so it is hard to squeeze in new things. I have been wanting to take them to the Kennedy Space Center for awhile and this summer we made it happen! The drive was much shorter than I thought it would be-- it took us less than two hours to get over there. The space center is very nice and well maintained and there is a lot to do there-- more than we could do in one visit, so we now have annual passes and will go back again. It was a fun day! And I love that it is a uniquely Florida attraction, it is educational, and it is also a place where my Dad worked years ago. I'm already looking forward to our next visit.

It was HOT. And a bit crowded.

Lunch was surprisingly good and well-priced.

After the space center we stopped at Celebration to eat dinner at the Columbia restaurant. While we waited for dad to get there to meet us, we walked around and spotted an alligator. The boys were fascinated. I was not.

They also found a squirrel to feed. This was more to my liking.

1905 salad. My favorite.
