Visiting Santa at Chimney Rock

There are so many things to do in this area of western North Carolina-- it is one of the things I love most about moving back. One fun event in December was seeing Santa at Chimney Rock!

Waiting for Santa to start his descent.

Santa rappelling down Chimney Rock.

Groundhog!

Then we took a quick hike to see some waterfalls.

I love that Carson is peeking at Carver in this one.

Lunch overlooking Lake Lure. Carson chose a headlamp in the gift shop. And wore it all afternoon in the bright, bright sunshine.

Days like these are my favorites. A planned activity, time spent just the four of us, gorgeous weather.... it was perfect.

Superhero Day at Church!

After church we headed to the woods and chose our tree at a Christmas tree farm.

Mom visited in early December and we stayed busy the whole time-- our first stop was the Western North Carolina Nature Center for their holiday festivities.

Garland making.

Dipping candles.

Tattoos!

That time Carson got complete stuck and called for help...and I told him to hold on a bit tighter so I could take a picture.

Carson's Christmas program at Montreat Morning School.

Can you spot him?

Carson wanted a 25-cent ball out of the machine at Old Navy...but I didn't have any change. So, he got to do the trampoline instead ($7/5 minutes)

Waiting to see the doctor when Carson had an ear infection scare. (False alarm).

Baby Winston.

Picture of a picture.

Random. And shout out to Grandmama for making the boys their Christmas pillow cases.

Minion cupcakes for Carver's school friends. (A little early birthday celebration).

Teacher gifts.

MMS school Christmas party.

Carver and I had our second annual birthday date night. Dinner and a show at the Asheville Community Theater. I look forward to this night all year long. This year we ate dinner at Pack's Tavern and then saw The Best Christmas Pageant Ever, just the two of us. I adore him more than I can say.

(This picture looks nothing like Carver to me. But I think it is funny).

All my boys.
