In May the boys and I (and my dad!) headed up to Baltimore to celebrate Julia's graduation. I love Baltimore and I haven't been visiting as frequently as I used to. If you pretend to ignore the nightmarish week with Lea then the other parts were really fun. I hate that I was distracted from Julia that week, and I hate that the memory of such a fun occasion is a bit tainted for me-- but Julia was loved on and celebrated and it was special despite of all the other drama.

I am super crazy proud of Julia. I can't quite believe that she has already graduated from high school, but it has always been a pleasure and a joy to watch her grow up. And to get to be a part of her life in a meaningful way. I didn't know how much I needed this sweet girl when she made me an aunt 18 years ago. And shout out to Courtney who has raised an incredible daughter.
Later that night, Carson realized he had to tell Uncle Lyle and his cousins goodbye. He did not take it well...
Mom and I stayed a couple of extra days to keep Riley and Reagan was Court and Michael took Julia to camp. It was really fun! I don't get to see these girls as much as I would like and it was fun to get to know them a bit better and Carver and Carson LOVE them. Mom and I had fun planning good dinners and hanging out after the kiddos were in bed.
