Kicking Off the (2018) Holiday Season

On December 1st of every year we kick off the holiday season. For the whole month of December I try to intentionally plan activities that are themed for Christmas. Not every day, of course, but as often as possible. I look forward to this all year long.

A fun morning with friends making holiday themed decorations.

Gift boxes for the boys. Christmas pajamas, DVDs, books, and one new ornament.

Daniel chose one for me! Don't worry, I removed the apostrophe :)

Spiderman for Carver, Panthers helmet for Carson.

Starting our nightly reading. The boys take turns unwrapping one Christmas book to read. This year we also added the reading of a Christmas themed chapter book-- it was fun!

November (2018) Phone Dump

(I guess life happened and I managed to get a full year behind in my posts...)

Bentley at 6 months old. Insanely adorable. Champion napper. World-class snuggler.

Timbered Touch Party and a fun but too short visit with Melissa (and Lyle) in Virginia!

Julia snuggling B.

Fall is the best.

No night out is complete without a trip to Lowe's...

and Blaze Pizza :)

This is a very full bed.

I teach Connect Group on Sunday Mornings for K-1st kids. This was one of my favorite activities.

The (dreaded) "Holiday Meal" at school. Make more bearable by spending time with this cute kid.

Soccer Saturdays.

My closet was finally finished!

Launch!

Thanksgiving activity.

Family selfies are hard.

Going to pick our tree on the day after Thanksgiving.

Date with Carver.

Visiting Carver's classroom.
