The Apple Orchard with Carson

One thing that I love most about Carson is that he is ALWAYS up to do just about anything. Carver prefers staying at home and really rarely wants to leave. Carson like to go and do and stay busy. While I admit that I am normally like Carver in this regard, I have always liked outings with the boys.

On this early fall day, Carson and I headed to Sky Top Apple Orchard. One on one time is always welcome, and we had a great day 😀

A fun family day in the fall (Sept. 2023)

The older the boys get, the less days we get to spend together on a family outing. And family outings are my favorite kind of days. Usually Daniel is working, the boys are busy (or don't want to go anywhere), and we end up kind of wasting our weekends.

This was a fun fall Saturday! We took the dogs and headed out for a short day hike and lunch in Weaverville. The weather was nice and taking the dogs along always makes me happy. They were great and had the best day 😁

I'll be sad when days like this just stop altogether. But for now, I'm enjoying them when I can.

September (2023) Phone Dump

Homemade pizza night.

We celebrated our annual Fall Fest night-- dinner and a movie :) One of my favorite family traditions.

Carson and Daniel did a lot of fishing at camp.

Carver and I went to the lake most morning to walk before school drop off. We love the ducks there.

And Carson voluntarily read and completed his first long chapter book. One that he chose and wasn't required to read. This was a big deal!

August (2023) Phone Dump

Felix was glad to have us back after 10 days away.
I got Covid for the first time a few days after we got home from Seattle. It was unpleasant.

First day of 8th grade for Carver!

Back to school dinner.

Carson's first day of 6th grade.

Carson loves to create recipes :)
